About NunuaChai

NunuaChai is a simple yet powerful platform that allows you to support your favorite creators, artists, and dreamers — one cup of chai at a time. Whether it's a TikTok comedian, a YouTube content creator, a writer, or a photographer, NunuaChai gives fans a direct and meaningful way to show love and appreciation.


We are proudly built for Kenya and now open to the world. With M-PESA as our core payment method and the recent addition of Paystack, supporters from anywhere — including the diaspora — can buy a virtual cup of chai using Card, Airtel Money, or even USD. This means no matter where you are, you can support Kenyan creators instantly and securely.


What makes NunuaChai unique is that creators receive 80% of every contribution, and we cover all transaction and M-PESA fees. Supporters aren't charged anything extra. Withdrawals are processed daily from Monday to Friday between 4–5pm (Nairobi time), with a minimum withdrawal amount of Ksh 500, sent directly to the creator’s M-PESA wallet.

NunuaChai was founded by David Mboya, a Kenyan web and app developer who built the platform from the ground up. As a creator himself, David understands the hustle and built NunuaChai to make supporting creators easy, impactful, and rewarding.
